Details about Workshop and Recommended Materials
Join co-facilitators Basha Brownstein, MSW, and Pamela Krueger, LMFTA, for a workshop for people living with metastatic cancer on Friday afternoon, December 18, from 1:30-3:30pm.
This workshop will offer an exploration that will support you in finding and reflecting on that place within yourself that feels like home, that is your own true-north, and that holds your own hearthfire. While not essential, it will be helpful if you have on hand the following supplies:
• roll of aluminum foil or roll of masking tape (or both)
• note paper or journal
• writing implements
In addition, please take time to find an object in your environment that symbolizes, in some way, the idea of a hearth and home within yourself. It could be a 3 dimensional object or a representation of something meaningful to you (photograph or magazine image or drawing). If you do not have time to identify this before the workshop, please do not worry. We will offer more explanation and time during the workshop, too, to find it.
We’ll be using all these things during the workshop. We think you will find the afternoon a time for rich exploration and holding.
