DESCRIPTION:In this 3-session journey\, participants are invited to express the fresh\, creative sensibility and playfulness you knew as a child and the unique\, adult voice that has ripened over the years. We will use evocative poems as our catalyst to our own creativity. These poems will come from cancer survivors\, healing poets and children. The fierce storms you weather while dealing with cancer\, your focus on regaining your health\, your own style of coping with illness\, of thriving in-the-midst of challenge\, the full range of feelings you have\, the people who make a difference in your life\, your sense of what matters most in your life — all these deserve attention\, expression and a place in your life.\nWe will slow down and in a safe place\, make time to put this on the page. Sharing our poems (an invitation\, not required) with one another will help relieve isolation and nourish healing community.
