FIFTH ANNUAL RESOURCES FOR HOPE DINNER RAISES $270,000 FOR CANCER LIFELINE’S PATIENT ASSISTANCE FUND
In spite of the rain, there were only rays of light inside the Olympic Sculpture Park pavilion on Saturday night, October 27th, when 100+ guests got together to raise $270,000 for the Patient Assistance Fund. With this vital support, we will be helping even more low-income cancer patients with basic necessities to enable them to stay in treatment.
If you were unable to join us, don’t worry! You can still support this record-breaking event with a donation to the Patient Assistance Fund. Click here to learn more.
On behalf of the Committee Co-Chairs Monica Adams and Jane Caron, the Advisory Board, Board, and staff of Cancer Lifeline, our heartfelt thanks to all who helped make this event a wonderful success.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Jeannie & Bruce Nordstrom, Christine & Company, Windermere Foundation, Seattle Cancer Care Alliance, UW Medicine, Farmers Insurance, Virginia Mason, Hannes Financial Services, The Commerce Bank of Washington, Cornerstone Advisors, ROI Technology and Overlake Medical Center & Clinics. Hats off to our in-kind sponsors: Fran’s Chocolates, Metropolitan Market, New Seasons Market, and Patti Payne. The 3rd Annual Resources for Hope supporting Cancer Lifeline’s Patient Assistance Fund (PAF) raised a record breaking $170,000 at the October 15, 2016 gala event at The Ruins.
In spite of the forecast of threatening weather, the festive event took place to a sold-out house and included surprises such as a vodka tasting provided by Ian G. MacNeil and Glass Vodka and mini-auction. Guests received swag bags filled with items from area merchants.
Advisory Board member and cancer survivor, Patricia Giuliani made a heartfelt plea for guests to join her in supporting the PAF and help provide financial awards for those individuals and families impacted by cancer who are experiencing financial hardships.
This year’s moving video featured the Bailey Family who had received a PAF award. The video was produced by Tina Nole, Board Member and Owner of Larj Media.
The event was co-chaired by Advisory Board members, Lynn Behar and Jane Caron.
