Cancer & Creative Expression: Rest & Reflection through Watercolor Part 1 [In-person at Cancer Lifeline]

May 13, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am PDT

[In-person at Cancer Lifeline] — PLEASE SEE NOTE BELOW

Early summer is a vibrant colorful season and an ideal time to meditate on the healing properties of color. The mood and quality of colors remind us to slow down our breathing and enter the healing world of color. We will work with magenta and green hues and use the wet-on-wet watercolor method. Magenta and green are complementary colors and represent the colors of the heart; open and expansive. Yellow-green is a vibrant color that we see in spring as the first new growth reaches towards the warm sun; a color of renewal. Magenta is a gentle atmospheric color; it can feel like a soft embrace, delicate and tender. The mood and quality of these colors remind us to slow down our breathing as the painting quietly unfolds, offering a reflective space.

For all skill levels. No previous painting experience necessary.
