Supporting Bone Health During ADT Treatment Sponsored by Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center
December 16 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm PST
ADT works by suppressing testosterone, the hormone that fuels prostate cancer cell growth, but the resulting drop in testosterone accelerates bone turnover and can quietly accelerate bone loss, increasing the risk of osteopenia or osteoporosis. Addressing this effectively may call for a combined intervention of conventional and integrative modalities as a more complete strategy for protecting bone health. Please not this group meets the third Wed. due to the holidays.
