Grief, Anticipatory Loss & Emotional Processing for Caregivers Sponsored by Overlake Medical Center
This class offers a compassionate and supportive space for caregivers navigating the complex emotional landscape of caring for a loved one facing serious illness, decline, or end-of-life transitions. Participants will explore the often-overlooked experience of anticipatory grief—the sense of loss that begins before a loved one has passed—as well as the many forms grief can take throughout the caregiving journey. Through guided reflection, discussion, and practical tools, the class helps caregivers identify, understand, and process their emotions in healthy and sustainable ways. Emphasis is placed on building emotional resilience, reducing feelings of isolation, and fostering self-compassion, while honoring the deeply personal nature of each caregiving experience. This class is appropriate for caregivers at any stage who are seeking understanding, connection, and strategies for emotional well-being.
