Self-Manual Lymphatic Drainage (SMLD) for Lymphedema: Lower Body Sponsored by Overlake Medical Center

In this presentation we will cover the SMLD BASICS for cancer related lymphedema. This will include the map of lymphatic flow, and direction for re-routing fluid for single side lymphedema.
Precautions: Do not perform SMLD with if you have any form of active infection. SMLD is not appropriate for anyone with compromised organ function, specifically liver, kidney, or heart issues. Please consult your doctor to be cleared for having a fluid increase in the blood stream from lymphatic drainage, which then puts an increased fluid load on the liver, kidneys, and heart.
