Guided Visualization for Stress Reduction Sponsored by Swedish Cancer Institute
Meditation and other mind/body practices are gaining popularity because they provide a proven antidote to stress. There are a number of meditation techniques that can be easily incorporated into one’s life. These include focused attention, mantra (sound), guided visualization and mindfulness. Meditation is something everyone can do, and it does not require any particular posture or set of beliefs. Regardless of the type or style of meditation you choose, regular meditation will bring extraordinary benefits to your daily life. In this session you will have a chance to experience meditation and come away with an understanding of why such practices reduce stress and increase our sense of well-being.
