Meditation Practices for Pain & Stress Management Sponsored by Swedish

Meditation and mindfulness practices are proven practices in the field of pain management. Among other benefits, such mind/body practices reduce physical and mental stress by consciously activating our parasympathetic nervous system to increase our sense of well-being. Bringing conscious awareness to our whole body with gentle compassion reduces both physical and mental distress. We will practice a number of mind/body awareness practices, including coherence breathing, mantra (repetition of a vibrational sound) and mindful body awareness.
